Welcome to Brainchild Festival, our three day festival celebrating the DIY spirit, art, music and ideas of the people around us.

We connect and stitch together the collectives, communities and creative projects that inspire us throughout the year into a program of live music, jam sessions, spoken word, DJ sets, talks, workshops, film, theatre and installation art.

So far, we’ve been lucky enough to work with artists including PECS Drag Kings, Kojey Radical, Nubya Garcia, Vanessa Kisuule, Dego (2000Black), Ross From Friends, Caleb Femi, Ezra Collective, Joshua Idehen, The Comet is Coming, Loyle Carner, Moses Boyd Exodus, Alice Phoebe Lou and hundreds of other brilliant people.

Stay tuned for the final few announcements for our 2018 festival programme in the coming few weeks!

You will also need to be on site until your shifts are complete which might be Sunday night or Monday morning.

– After the festival, when you’ve done your shifts, half of your ticket-price will be refunded to you.

Drawing on extensive research and autobiographical experience, ‘Shall We Take This Outside’ shines a light on the shadowy world of aggression, taking in themes as far reaching as Homer’s Iliad, fourth wave feminism, and Frosties.

The piece has been developed with the support of Arts Council England, the Albany Theatre and Apples And Snakes.

And we’re so sorry we can’t accommodate more of you! Click here to buy car park passes or minibus tickets from Lewes or Uckfield stations. Brainchild is a festival that’s run on the goodwill and hard work of lots of amazing individuals.
