Updating groupshield

The product was so new that I didn't receive a hardcopy manual, but I was able to access the 292 page Administrator's Guide from the Mc Afee website.

or are there several issues I need to be aware about..?Maybe there is some common issue that goes with updating antivirus on an exchange server that I don't know about..Please post this text here, and see if update works this time.So I don't actually have a problem yet, but I might. The second link from Tek-tips is referencing error 80004005 so I don't think it's the same thing. Just to eliminate that your default settings hasn't been changed.

Try running this, this will undo settings that's been changed by malware and revert them back to default.(also removes any relevant malware present) Please download "rdriv Rem.zip" it to your desktop.Designed to meet the needs of growing businesses, Mc Afee Active Virus Defense delivers protection from viruses and other threats at the desktop, file server, mail server, and Internet gateway, for a truly multi-tiered defense. In addition, Active Virus Defense includes the powerful Mc Afee e Policy Orchestrator, a centralized management tool for policy enforcement, updating, and detailed graphical reporting, all from a single console. This might be a bit late for you as you asked a good while ago.But Mc Afee Groupshield (and other Exchange A/V products) talk to Exchange using something called VSAPI; this is provided by Exchange itself () So if Groupshield goes wrong, simply kill it all off and stop the service and Exchange will carry on working (obviously sans virus / spam protection) This gives you some time to sort the issue out properly, without affecting production service. It can be set into a single server environment or a clustering server.
